Congratulations to Year 10 student Ayden Kosloff on starting his career in Barbering! As part of a Head Start School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship at Do My Hair Kings Den Barber Shop, Ayden has gained casual employment after a great work experience placement. Ayden is going to be studying a CERT III in Barbering at TAFE NSW and will spend each Thursday cutting it up in the work place.

A SBAT for Ayden means he can make a great start on his career while working towards his Year 12 completion. Employer Lacy said he is a great young person, willing to help other’s and is already forging his own style in the shop. Ayden said he is excited to have this opportunity. Head Start SBAT Coordinator Shane said he is looking forward to having Ayden give him a haircut.

Thanks to Lacy, the Do My Hair Kings Den Barber team for being passionate supporters of young people like Ayden. Thanks to Danny at Apprenticeship Support Australia, Ayden’s Family, the WSSC VET Hairdressing Team and the WSSC Careers Team for making this possible.

For info on turning your career passions into inspiration please contact Head Start SBAT Coordinator, Shane Crispin M: 0476 076 258 E: shane.crispin@education.vic.gov.au
